The GLP-1 ads pre-flight.
26 checks to work before you spend anything on GLP-1 or weight-loss advertising: what the page actually sells, the certification chain and who is genuinely waiting on whom, the claims that get certified accounts pulled anyway, the landing page a reviewer reads, the targeting tools health advertisers no longer have, and the workarounds that end the channel. Every one is fixable before the first dollar. Progress saves in your browser.

01Before anything else: what the page sells
Certification attaches to what the ad promotes, not to the words in the ad. This is the rule the rest follows from.
02The certification chain
LegitScript first, stated by both platforms. After that, Google and Meta are parallel tracks, not a sequence.
03Claims, where certified accounts still die
Certification gets you into the auction. Claims are what gets you removed from it.
04The landing page a reviewer reads
The page is half the review, and it is the half you fully control.
05Targeting, and what you no longer have
Health advertisers lose tools other advertisers keep. Plan the account structure around the loss.
06The workaround graveyard
Each of these is asked monthly. Each ends the channel rather than opening it.

Before you launch
What do I need before running GLP-1 ads on Google or Meta?
LegitScript Healthcare Merchant Certification for the site the ads land on, which both platforms state as a qualifying condition, and then each platform's own approval: Google's prescription drug services provider application, and Meta's written authorization. Neither platform references the other, so after LegitScript those two run in parallel rather than in sequence. Certification gets you into the auction; your claims and landing page decide whether you stay in it.
Why do certified accounts still get disapproved?
Because certification covers eligibility, not content. The recurring causes are claims that promise outcomes or imply equivalence with branded drugs, landing pages missing identity, licensure, the prescription requirement or honest all-in pricing, drug terms used without the specific permission, and targeting that relies on tools health advertisers no longer have. Each one is fixable before you spend anything, which is what this list is for.
Is my progress saved?
In your browser only: progress persists in localStorage on this device and is never sent anywhere. Print it for the pre-launch review, and reset it for the next campaign or the next brand.
How long does the certification chain take?
Neither platform publishes a turnaround, and LegitScript states plainly that the time for a certification review depends on a variety of factors. Plan for the chain to run on its own clock, start it before you need it, and spend the waiting weeks making the site certification-grade rather than waiting. Nothing on this list requires the chain to be finished before you can work on it.
